Dear Congress,
I am writing to urge you to abolish the Department of Education. As a concerned citizen of this great country, I believe that the Department of Education has become an unnecessary and wasteful bureaucracy that does more harm than good.
The Department of Education was created in 1979 with the goal of improving education in the United States. However, after more than four decades of existence, it has failed to achieve this goal. Instead, it has become a bloated bureaucracy that has grown out of control, wasting taxpayer dollars and stifling innovation in education.
The Department of Education is a prime example of government overreach. It has become a one-size-fits-all entity that tries to dictate education policy to every school in the nation, regardless of the unique needs and circumstances of individual schools and communities.
Furthermore, the Department of Education has consistently failed to improve educational outcomes for our nation's students. Despite spending billions of dollars, test scores have remained stagnant, and graduation rates have not improved.
Abolishing the Department of Education would allow individual states and local communities to take control of education policy. This would allow for greater flexibility and innovation, as well as more efficient use of taxpayer dollars. States and local communities are better equipped to understand the unique needs of their students and to develop policies that will help them succeed.
I urge you to take action and abolish the Department of Education. Let us return control of education to the states and local communities, where it belongs.
Sincerely,
PopopThePatriot
