Open Letter to Congressman Aaron Bean (FL4)
Dear Congressman Bean,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing as a concerned and engaged citizen of Florida’s 4th Congressional District, one of the many who have supported you through your extensive career in public service. From your beginnings as City Commissioner and Mayor of Fernandina Beach to your years in the Florida House and Senate, we’ve stood by you, believing in your dedication and commitment to the people of Northeast Florida.
In 2022, we gave you a significant opportunity to represent us on a national stage as our Congressman. With your extensive experience, particularly your leadership in the Florida Senate and your background as a successful businessman and auctioneer, we expected to see you stand up boldly for the values we hold dear.
However, since your election to Congress, it seems we’ve heard very little from you. In these tumultuous times, when the very fabric of our nation feels strained, silence is not an option. Our country faces numerous challenges, including massive inflation that is crippling our families, and a border crisis that not only threatens our national security but also drains our hard-earned tax dollars. It is heartbreaking to see those dollars stolen from us and given to criminal invaders lured here by this Administration, while our veterans, who have already sacrificed so much, are being sidelined. The VA, which should be a pillar of support for our veterans, is now funneling funds and services to aid these invaders. This is a tragedy that cannot be ignored. What are you doing to address this injustice? Our veterans deserve better, and it is your duty to stand up for them.
And while we’re on the topic of those who should be standing up for the American people—our POTUS appears to be AWOL, and the Vice President, who has never received a vote from the electorate for President, seems to be covering for an incapacitated Commander-in-Chief. We must ask: who is really running our government? Though, of course, we know who’s ruining it. Congressman, what are you doing about this?
It’s time to show up, Congressman Bean. Remind us why we placed our trust in you. Let your constituents hear your voice, see your actions, and know that you are fighting for us in Washington. The people of Florida’s 4th District deserve nothing less.
Sincerely,
Cameron Ford
